Speaking of dog-friendly, the Dog Walk portion of the Walk for Mental Health will begin at 10:30 a.m. next Saturday the 18th at Smith Park. Bring your pup and walk with us to raise awareness about accessible mental health care services and programs in the Roanoke Valley!

The 15th Annual Walk for Mental Health raises funds to educate, advocate, and provide direct community services to ensure that the children and adults of the Roanoke Valley receive the mental health care they deserve and need. Access to mental health care continues to be a major need in the Roanoke Valley. According to the 2018 Roanoke Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), 31.3% of respondents claim that mental health care is the greatest health concern in our region.
